A message from our CEO.
Today, we’re faced with numerous uncertainties as the world grapples to contain the outbreak of novel coronavirus (COVID-19). For myself, as a father, husband and business owner, I am constantly thinking about how I can protect my family and team members in these difficult times. So in accordance with our local government, all Omnichain employees are now working from home, safe with their loved ones.
It’s a responsible move to help limit community spread of the virus—and one of many recent changes to our personal and professional lives brought on by COVID-19. In just the span of a few short weeks, the disease has made a sudden and disruptive impact particularly on our global supply chains. For instance, production has come to a standstill in several industries reliant on overseas suppliers struggling with the outbreak themselves. On the retail shelf, we have all seen the widespread shortages of toilet paper, hand sanitizer and food products.
But just as we mobilized quickly to switch to remote work and social distancing, we as businesses and industries can take swift action now to minimize the disruptions caused by COVID-19 and stabilize the supply chain—both for the sake of the economy and availability of necessities and supplies within our communities.
At Omnichain, we’ve created the following graphic as a resource to guide you through immediate recovery response, with prescriptive steps for each point in the supply chain. We encourage anyone dealing with supply chain management issues as a result of COVID-19 to review these steps, as well as to consider the advice on future disruption preparation so that we can all build resilient supply chains ready to face any disruption ahead.
We will weather this storm and come out strong and better, together. Wishing everyone the very best.
